Maybe I'm alone in this, but I'd like to have to taxi to the runway from the hangar (or somewhere), and not spawn on the numbers of the runway.

It would add to the immersion of the AH2 quasi-reality format, IMO.

I'd like to ride the elevator up from the hangar deck then get positioned and unfold wings. Or .... I suppose .... to be more realistic .... step onto the flightdeck where the planes have already been positioned, get in the cockpit, run her up and wait my turn to take off. Maybe someday that'll be practical enough to model?

Ya know ya can already spawn from a hanger and taxi to the runway right?

Before you land and take off, you should get permission to do it.
Why not an air traffic controller (AI or human controlled if wanted)
Who does the landing and take off.

This will be vulchers heaven if you have to wait to take off behind someone else, wait for your wings to unfold, or wait to be cleared by tower. It easy enough to vulch now. I like realality, but this is still a game. To much realality and you will start to lose some of the FUN aspect of the game. IMO

This is going to be fun :)

"a42-ground, charly charly victor india" -- "charlie charlie victor india, a42-ground" -- "charly charly victor india, 109g10, hangar 7, local CAP, request taxi" -- "victor india, taxi to holding position runway 31 via alpha bravo and foxtrott, qnh 1029, contact a42-tower on 124.2 when ready for departure." -- "victor india, taxiing to holding position runway 31 via alpha bravo and foxtrott, qnh 1029, contacting a42-tower on 124.2 when ready for depature".

"a42-tower, victor india, lined up on runway 31, ready for departure".

suddenly, back to tower.

a message pop up reads...

"You had no permission to line up. You have been demoted to pedestrian.".

Back to the training missions ;)

yes , i would like to see spawning only in empty hanger or hard stand/pad/revetment and friendly collisions on, should make takeoffs and landings "interesting".
would also like some glideslope indicator for CV landings.

Running for a plane during a scramble while it is waitin for you with its noisy engine on its pad could be funny but.....I think this could be true for arenas or event like TODs or scenarios but......what do you think about KILLSHOOTER OFF and FRIENDLY COLLISION ON settings ?

I imagine that if ya have to taxi to the runway, assuming no grass rolling, there'd be a lot less vulching available. I'll take a chance at getting up if I think there's a possibility but no way if I'm 100% sure I'll get vulched.
