DI-604 router
« on: June 30, 2003, 10:42:09 AM »
Last month a couple of people indicated that they use the DI-604 router/firewall.  Can anyone advise or point me to a URL that indicates what sort of firewall settings I should be using?  The manual is thin and I have no prior home-networking exp.

Nowadays configuration manuals are often included in the drivers CD in PDF format, while the paper manuals are only good to lit up fireplace.

Dlinks are fine.

Have you got it working yet? Are you connecting it to a cable modem or dsl?

I have had a Dlink DSL-200 since broad band became available on my telephone exchange earlier this year. It works just fine and gives me no trouble at all.

If you have it connected and working there's not much to worry about. The default settings, other than the admin password, are pretty secure. If you're trying to host a h2h server let me know and I'll tell ya how.

I got everything working with the defaults.  I just figured that I would need to configure the firewall settings.  I guess I don't. :)
