System Locking up, crashing
« on: June 30, 2003, 09:38:34 AM »
I recently added an MX 440 PCI SE video card to my system.  When I added it, I lost my system tray at the bottom of the screen and couldn't get it back.  So I did a system recovery which retrieved the tray and start button back on to the screen.

But, I have had frequent lock ups and system crashes.

When the system crashes I get the following error message:

BCCode: d1  BCP1: 02030EA0  BCP2:  00000002  BCP3: 00000001  BCP4:  F7E374EF  OSVer:  5_1_2600 SP:  1_0   Product:  768_1

I am running a HP 514n

2.2 Ghz intel processor
512 DDRAM

I also installed the game, Medieval Total War, which locks up every time I go into a battle.

I have loaded the the drivers from the disk that came with the video card and disabled the drivers to the onboard vcard.

The maker of the new Video Card is eVGA.

You say you disabled the drivers for onboard video. Did you disable onboard video in bios? If not you should do that as well and then remove the onboard video drivers. It is usually best to remove the existing drivers and switch to standard vga drivers before installing the new card and drivers.
