Nvidia has gotten me confused again

Ok, so i just planed on replacing my crappy MX for a Ti, but they've now changed the labels to FX, and XFX.
I also notice that these cards are now mostly 8x AGP, will my 4x AGP slot work with the cards?

Newer Cards will still run at 4x and from friends setting to 8x and having problems 4x doesnt seem so bad.
Got it from a reliable source that 8x is still having a few problems.
Not sure on the new lettering but I would imagiane that the more expensive ones would be the better of the 2.
Hope any of this helped.

i just found out that they're backwards compatable, which is good.
There's a problem with buying the most expensive type, as they're both around the same price range.

The FX series is based on the NV3x series of GPU, whereas the Ti series was based on the NV2x GPU.

Just a new tag for an extreme FX product. Basically, hand picked GPU's that NVidia can overclock to try and increase the performance of the NV35.

XFX doesn't necessarily means that it's an Extreme GeForce FX although it does sound like it though.
If I'm correct, XFX is a company that also markets the nVidia's GeForce line of video cards. This can be verified by going here:
XFX Graphics
Hope I solved your problems, and IMO, I'd stay away from the GF FX 5200 GPU's - they may be cheap, but you get what you pay for.. a cheap GPU.

I got myself a Geforce 4 XFX Ti4200 Turbo, Platinum Gamers Edition.
Comes with Ghost Recon (crap), Comanche 4, and some racing game I've never heard of. Also comes with a fancy looking joy pad.
Not bad for £90

the ghost recon game that comes with it sucks, but if your comp. has issues it really points them out. good benchmarking app. only took me 2 days to get the settings right

run smooth as glass, except the AI.
Oh look I'm getting shot at, I'll just stand here and not return fire.
Oh look, I got shot in the hand, I'm gonna die now.
Hopefully this doesn't reflect on real American Special Ops teams...

Definatly, if the AI's got you pinned down but your keeping them away, they'll send someone to flank you, poor guy usually wanders into my sights
