drum -n- bass...
« on: July 03, 2003, 11:41:51 PM »
i know my other thread i asked about music too...

what about drum -n- bass music ... no rapping , just good rythm's and bass.

i got old dj. magic mike and techmaster peb stuff, along with some newer stuff (dj food oddly falls ionto this catagory)

any other spinners i should look into?
I don't know what to put here yet.

actually I like anestestia (SP?) from Cliff Burton

When a man lies he murders some part of the world
These are the pale deaths which men miscall their lives
All this i cannot bear to witness any longer
Cannot the kingdom of salvation take me home"
- Cliff Burton: "To Live Is To Die"

edited for spelling "anesthesia"

Try brazilian Drum and Bass, i find its a lot easier listening than usual stuff + jungle here

Also get This CD, has lots of good old skool DnB on it (like Sharp Shooter and.... Chopper, make sure you have a LOUD system to play chopper on... :D)

actually, just go download that tune : The Terrorist - The Chopper and max the volume :) and while yer at it get Xzibit - Paparazzi (jungle remix)

My sister is a DJ in San Fran, she writes her own Drum-n-bass music for Raves ect... Really popular stuff down there. She sends me music and I write riffs over it .. but it turns in KMFDM sounding stuff.

BTW anyone know where I can get that Jumpin` Jack Frost track with the cue line "Oh my god... DANGER !" ? Had it on a live Tape from Meditation `95, but that got stolen w/my car, and unlike the car, didn`t turn up again ;)
