Terminator 3... umm will not buy the DVD
« on: July 04, 2003, 08:09:41 PM »
Saw T3 this afternoon, and over all, it was ok, but not worth seeing again, nor is it really that impressive for such a touted sequel.  Is is me, or is acting just non existent now-a-days....

Anyways, the lead up to YET another Terminator movie
is there, and it is likely that Arnold will not have to appear as he sets it is set as so...  maybe by then he will be govenor... thank god he can not be president.

Any ways, the movie is high on special effects, low on acting, and has some rediculous attempts at satire which, for the genre is generally missed on the audience.  All in all, the best thing going for it is the ending, which is unexpected for most.

Hope the next one is better....  Happy 4th all!

I'm willing to wait for it to be on cable. I had a suspicion it was going to be more like "Last Action Hero" than "Terminator". Arnold's action days are numbered, better take a few more acting classes and English lessons.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

I thought it was better than T2, more like the original and Robocop in spirit.  I.e. dark and a little cheesy and with ridiculous attempts at satire.  :)
I like how the T-101 is actually a pretty crappy robot, like something designed by another robot.  The crane sequence and the bathroom brawl were worth the price of admission.  I also thought the nuclear armageddon and 1960's decor underground shelter were sweet.  I wonder how many more sequels they are going to make?  Compared to the other man-vs-machine saga (Matrix), this one is definitely top dog.  The hippie idots in the Matrix series have me rooting for the machines now.  :)

The sad thing is, the story line was great and the movie could have been sooo much better.
