Wardog, you don't want a WWII flight sim.
Nope. <shakes head sadly> You want a small
private club filled  only with people such
as yourself. Folks who will only act and think as you do.
Helps go to show that if there is a bad side, called the Quakebirds/Quakewarriors there is also on the other side of the bell curve an equally quite distasteful type,  those with an attitude like your own. The sim
you call home (or used to) is rife with people just as bad and lame as those found on AW and FA. Income bracket and paying price do not even come close to reflecting personality traits.
You seem to hold your much larger monthly credit card bill like a cross you bear. One that you maybe feel allows you to spew claims that you're in a superior setting with superior people.
As for an appropriate catchy name for your type I just haven't found that yet.
The adjectives arrogant and snob do help point the way.

(I think I may claim having setup the first

curly, you did setup the 1st Duel

Ive been flyin for 9 years online now, started off in AW DOS (Pyro & HT also started there).

Total cost an hour back in 1990 worked out to $8.50 to $12.00 an hour between Genie,Delphi & Concentric witch i had an account with all at one time or another trying to cut cost so i could fly. Sacrfice 1 Friday night at the bar and see how much money you save

40 50 60 bucks. Die hard sim pilots will find a way to fly the better sims.I did.

I also flew AW4W AWII & still hold my AWIII account.I still drop by once every 3 months to see the oldtimers that flew AW DOS.

Its not the attitude soley that makes a difference but the combined community that make a good setting in the arena.

Thats why i would prefer to keep the 6 year olds out,and for that reason alone. Dont need to see a load of garbage coming acroos the text buffer..

Well. All I can say is we'll see.
I'm sure the price and the flight model for AH will ease your fears.  If not I'll eat my
size 12 New Balance.
But seeing how the same crap flows in the radio buffers of ALL sim radio-buffers, whether  they pay $2.00 per hour or $9.95 per month, I believe it will be the flight model
combined with the price that will help. And don't forget, the community should police itself to a certain extent.  (although the
radio buffer crap in AW3 relaxed realism
would be entitled to it's own unique listing
in the index of the Book  of Crap)

For me. AH may allow me the opportunity to
fly with/against the folks like you who, along with many of the other longtime the
veterans of Warbirds and Airwarrior, who
are still flying the virtual skies.

 It'll  be a very interesting time. I don't
believe it will be 'Quakey' at all - meaning
after the beta is over.

I applaud the pricing structure; it makes sense and is a financial load off my mind.
I also believe it will be competitive with other sims. I reckon we will see.

This is what I like to see good hot agression and the war hasn't even started yet. This discussion about keeping dweebs etc out is as old as the sims. The best way to keep dweebs out is by shooting THEIR bellybutton off and not shooting YOUR own mouth off. In other words say it with Bullets.

BTW congrats HT on going for a flat price structure. So much easier to budget for. Heck one month I spent $200.00 plus on WB.

I totally argee with curly. Wardogz seems to have a good high paying job with all them accounts he has.

Its priced to many gamers outta the market
Im lucky after paying the bills im left with enough money to buy a can of Coke lol.

But Curly is spot on with whats he's trying to get over.

Microsoft have seemed to hit it bigtime with FA2, when this game comes out they'll be alot of WB&AW pilots showing up on the scene because its much the same but better than both put together, and at a mere £6 and the feel of an online war going on how can this game compare with a $30 price tag around its head.
Man this game is gonna have to kick a.ss and chew bubblegum big style.
