I've had enough. What the shreck is wrong with you whiney little tossers. I see people screaming VULCHER at someone who shoots them down WHEN THEY'VE RUN OUTTA FUEL. I've been called a vulcher just for attacking with an alt advantage. A BLEEDIN' M3 DRIVER ONCE CALLED ME A VULCHER! Jesus H Christ, you whiney little plebs!

Vulcher: Someone who circles a base waiting for someone to spawn on the runway. That's why they're called vulchers.....cos they look like vulchers circling (ya know, the bird of prey. Duh)

Smart pilot: Someone who attacks with alt advantage, recognises you've run outta fuel, thinks about strat and kills M3s.

Stupid pilot: Someone who repeatedly spawns from a base where vulchers are circling and complains about being vulched.

Even more stupid pilot: Someone who whines like a pleb when they get bounced from alt. Get over it. Someone once said "If you're in a fair fight you didnt plan it right." Yep.

If ya dont wanna get vulched then don't take off from capped bases. If you're trying to stop the base capture then fine, quit complaining about it and expect to die lots.

This game is about winning, for some it is uneasy (or infuriating) to bite the dust. That's what it is to them anyway.
In this 'community' every pawn has a certain threshold to anger (incapacity to deal with something), trolling, etc. It's always easier to brush off (undeniable) humiliation with anger after pressuring oneself for nothing but victory..vicious circle.

There is no such thing as justice, fairness, evil...

Combat in any open arena setting is all about decisions. If you died you made some bad ones pure & simple.

Everyone does it, everyone dies sometimes.
Don't take it out on the one who killed you, learn from it & move on.

I don't believe a vulture is considered a 'bird of prey'. They eat dead things!

I agree with Swoop 100%!!!

You got it right, no doubt.

Someone who repeatable spawns at a capped field is nuts(or loves a challenge, I do it sometimes but I know and accept I will die). Someone who does this, repeatable gets killed and whines about it is a whining handsomehunk.

I have heard guys try to say they should be allowed to come up to altitude so we can fight fair. Why in the heck would I want that? There is a reason I come to an enemy field way up high.

Ya almost have to feel sorry for those that think:

1) Life is fair
2) Fights in AH should be fair
3) They are great pilots and if anyone kills them they must be cheating
4) They should be able to come up at a capped field and be able to kill you, but you should not shoot them down out some misguided feelings of fair play.

I do keep myself a smart pilot, but I don't classify 'waiting for enemy to run out of fuel' as a valid tactic, unless its something I can't catch forever (though, by the time that sort of thing runs out of fuel, hes far away already)

Usually I've let people go ditch or land peacefully if they're out of fuel. (unless they're total bastards that really deserves it)

Of course I have vulched an ackless field at will, just to keep enemy bogged down so grunt delivery can do the job.
Although, I must admit that its been fun when happend.
In this case, people are stupid if they takeoff from such a base without acks.

Tho, vehicle driver saying "vulcher" .. hehe.. how then would people kill them?

Vultures are classified as birds of prey, but they usually eat carrion.

Vultures are very important animals because they are like garbage disposals.

They eat stinking, rotten meat that can spread all kinds of diseases.

So vulchin' is a good thing.

I have been involved in vulches a few times and I have had the good luck of the victims never complaining about it. They knew what they were getting into. I believe only a few people complain about it.

I didn't complain, but I did get sarcastic when being vulched. Sort of teasing like. One of my favorite kills was to take off in a middle of a vulchfest and "knock a few down".

Vulching is a necessary item in the game. It teaches humility and builds character!!

If you dont wanna be vulched, you gotta improve your SA; SA is not only be conscious of whats happenin around you, its knowing how much fuel and ammo you have too, and calculate it to return to your base.
When you roll from a capped airfield is at your own risk, you have to choose the right moment or you'll be shot down.
Quite simple i think, and there is no need to whine if u act like a real chicken.

The only time I get pissed off when someone is vulching is when there is no OBVIOUS attempt to try and take the base and these people are just padding their scores and perks. If it's a viable attempt to take the base (and you can usually tell by the assets they bring and how they attack) and I'm spawning to stop them and they repeatedly kill me that's my own fault and I'm ok with that because I can choose to go to another base. True vulching as I define it above is just bad form and is the signature of a gutless pilot who doubts his own dogfighting ability and takes the easy way out.

Chute shooters fall into that category as well. I don't usually pull my chute until less than 1000 ft and at times I get strafed on purpose. That's also being a very poor sport. If I acknowledge the kill and bail out I'm no longer a threat and if I'm not hanging in my chute at 10,000 feet (as if I were spying) then the nme planes should have the descency to let me bail peaceably. Now if there's a chute on the ground for more than a minute he's open game IMHO because he's had ample time to get back to the tower and is most likely spying.

Ya know - most of the folks that chute shoots (g) do it purely for the 'you shot my chute' reaction...

As for vulching, it's a fact of life, it's also quite a valid tactic, as is shooting down RTBing aircraft. The Germans used to plant aircraft in the British landing patterns at night to shoot down aircraft that had returned.

The only pity is that in-game it has no particular tactical advantage besides building up your perk points?
