I understand it was fairly common for RL US fighter pilots to stagger the convergence of the guns, but they usually did it over a wider range of distances, such as 250, 300, 350, 400 yards.

Yeah, great story. I'm no wizard by any means in the Hog, but I've managed to get some folks ti engane me low and slow like the story you shared.

Nose down scissors works well for me. Keeping speed up and tolling. Most folks (and LA-7's always) come in full throttle and overshoot. I'm always up for learning new tricks, however.
