Movie Trivia Q

Probably most of us have seen the "Battle of Britain" movie. And some of us have viddied "A Clockwork Orange", looking around at some of the avatars.

Hard to imagine two more dissimilar movies, but two actors were in both movies - do you know which two?

One actor in Clockwork Orange was in another WW2 movie, "Where Eagles Dare" - do you know which?

Oh well, no-one guessed it...

WT - good effort. Hehe, you got the bits that are in IMDB - actually it's all there if you know where to look.

Michael Bates is right - Warrant Officer Warwick in BoB - famous line to Section Officer Harvey (Susannah York): "Put that cigarette out! The mains have gone! Can't you smell gas?" To which she replied "Don't you yell at me, Mr. Warwick!" - lol, corker. In Clockwork Orange he had a similar role (and uniform) as the chief prison officer. "Are you able to see the white line painted on the floor behind you? Then your toes belong on the other side of it!"

Philip Stone was a good guess. He played the namby-pamby father of Alex in C.O., and had a small part in Where Eagles Dare as the cablecar operator.

The missing name is John Savident. He was one of the conspirators who went to the writer's house in C.O. just as Alex was drugged and fell asleep, and was rolling balls up and down the billiard table as they blasted Alex with Beethoven's 9th. A very small part. He had an equally small part in BoB. He had some battle figures to present to Air Chief Marshall Dowding (Lawrence Olivier): "Final figures for the Northern raid, Sir. 23 without loss!" He currently appears in the long (far too long) running TV soap, Coronation Street as Fred Elliot - so I am told. I don't watch it myself. ;)
