gama will help it creates a  washed out grey light sky where by the planes profile stay a dark shadow. You dont adjust gama to see "icons" better. The cms have asked for a no icon setting going way back, they aint got one and we wont get one in the future.

Anyway, Icons dont mean ****e. As I said il2 has what is probrably the best "night" model of any game and it still sucks arse. Theres no icons there as well. Fb has nav/landing lights, search lights. No gps map of map icons etc... Muzzle flashes at night are well done etc.

We wont get that in ah2. As I said it may cool to think about but it never be more then half arsed in ah. Even the way field and bases "glow" and can be spotted from 30k at night.

Your positive attitude and suggestions for improvement are quite impressive.

Let me repeat: Adjusting gamma won't do any good if the server adjusts visual con range and icon range to reflect night.

In other words, if you don't see that plane profile on your greyed out screen unless you're within xxx yds of the enemy (perhaps less if he's facing you) then gamma correction is not going to help you any.

30k glowing bases? Gimme a break. That can be overcome the same way sighting cons miles away ..... on a greyed out screen .... can. You know that. Right?

Granted, this isn't a suggestion that would delight the average MA player. It would be some additional added realism for the smaller cadre that TOD is supposed to cater to.

Now, if you're saying that HT, Pyro, etc. have neither the ability nor the inclination to look into these possibilities, I think you're selling them short. But that's my opinion and I doubt either of us actually have the qualifications to make such a judgement, anyhow. ;)

It sounds like it's going to start out Euro and I'll consider supporting it if there's a hint of hope that it'll eventually expand to include the Pac. After all, I think there's probably more Euro setting fans than there are Pac fans (like us).

It's a hard admission to make but I've seen too many prefer the switch to a Euro setting.

Then again, maybe if the Pac planeset could be balanced ....
