Instead of an OSTIE or M-16 shooting 50 cal or 37mm ammo, how about manable 88mm flak guns or flak vehicles with the explosion distance settable?

As stated in many of my other posts about veh's, I would love to see more of a GV loadout. The German Whirblewind which uses 4 20mm cannons would be a perfect addition, along with a Sherman or towable artilery.

One of the first things I did when I began my Aces High Career was look for the 88 mm ack positions. We can man low defense positions, but thats not where I bomb. I can come in well over the range of Flak or M16 and drop right on thier heads.  88 MM would make "MIlkrunning" a lot more hazardous as well.  Lets get some mannable 88mm's over to hq and other strats at least... Even if no where else.

HQ, citties, factories , sound resonable
airfield maybe, but till death on gunner position is not counted as kill , i say no. All jabo attacks will be deadly.
But from other look, mby will be less kamikadze raids and more bombers.

Flak mounted on gv's is much worse then ostwind and bring voulching to next level;)

Ya know how many times Iv'e had kappa, Frenchy or one of the AK's drop a 500 or 1000 pounder on my Ostie or M16? Or be carpet bombed by 6 or 9 JU88's ?  Or watch my fellow countrymen get vulched and cherry picked by fighters and jabos!
Thats why at airfields and cities we need to be able to protect ourselves and our resourses. If you honestly think attacking an airfield or city that has a couple of Osties or M16's sitting  there is hard, then you need more practice at attacking. I probably have the only {maybe theres more} GV squad in AH and we have upped 10 -12 plus GV's to defend our field, and while yes we DID manage to take a bunch out of the sky, there's always someone who's just about dead-on with their 1000 pounder or rockets.
By then of course our VH is takin out, fuel supply taken down, ord gone and the vulch commence's. It's funny Iv'e never heard Fester, kappa or Frenchy or really good pilot for that matter say "oh no fellas, don't go back to that field, there's a couple of OSTIE'S there!!!"

For every weapon there is a countermeasure. Just like real life, it will just take some time for a workaround:)

It would be nice to see manned 88mm guns in the towns as they'd be useful for both AA and anti-tank defense.  I also think that bases should get larger field guns like 88mm and 155mm AA guns as well as smaller gun emplacement like .50 cals.

Maybe that's one thing from WB we should carry over to here.  I seem to recall when I played WB, there were different types of gun emplacements, from .50 cals to 155mm AA guns at each base.
