Must admit, I like the "Throw Back" Bianchi jerseys.

:D

Sure I'm pro Ullrich but I have the greatest respekt to all these athletics. So for me its not so important who wins.
Today we have the hardest hop and I'm curious if Ullrich is able to attack Lance again.

So here we are again spending 5 hours in front of the TV looking at the superb commentatorship.

So sad that Joseba (Beloki) is out. He was stronger than ever this year.

talk about bad luck :( however the other Spaniards are doing an amazing work...keep an eye on Haimar Zubeldia and Iban Mayo, those two guys are going to be something worth talking about!.

yup great lance today, and good sportsmanship by ullrich for waiting (lance waited for ull in 2000 tho i think it was).

Ull is gonna have to do it on the tempo now i think and that may drain him to much.

LOL :D

My girlfriend would kill me but HEY i managed to look le Tour today and it was great (as usual). Lance showed what he really can do. He is so strong hes playing in another league when hes  in top form. Even Jan cant reach him and Ullrich surely is awsome too.
I guess that Lance now will win the Tour. I dont believe that Ullrich can take off 1 min from Lance.

Anyone ever read the Lance Armstrong autobiography?  It's a good story about his whole life and he doesn't sugar-coat it like many other autobiographies.

Just think people, if the Cofidis team had accepted him after his cancer, he would be racing for a French team right now

By the way, what channel is it on, or does it switch channels every day or so?

Oh I don't know about that ... Lance didn't seem to feel that way judging by the interview. If Lance kicks butt in the next stage (last mountain stage) then it might be in the bag, but if Ulrich stays close, we could be in for a thriller.

Does anybody remember the 1989 Tour de France ... everybody figured Fignon had it in the bag ...

"Those who saw it -- either from a vantage point on the Champs-Elysees or on television -- will never forget counting down the seconds as Laurent Fignon sprinted in vain to the finish line in the final time trial in Paris. LeMond had been at death's door after a shooting accident early in 1987 and was riding in his first Tour since winning in 1986.

After an incredible three weeks which saw the maillot jaune switch between the American and Frenchman, LeMond trailed Fignon by 50 seconds overall going into the final time trial in Paris. No one gave him much chance of clawing back that time in just 24.5 kilometers but the new triathlon-style handlebars were a distinct advantage as he beat Fignon by 58 seconds. After 3,285 kilometers of racing a mere eight seconds separated the two men overall. It doesn't get any more dramatic than that."

I watched that finish live ... it had to be the greatest athletic achivement in the history of sport.
