Of course F4UDOA, you must admitt that you were the direct cause of the F4U-1C being "porked" ;) hehehehe with extra weight in the first place with some of your data.

I know dude. How about that. Except now I just noticed that under the empty weight of the F4U-1C it says "calculated". So in other words they didn't have the weight for the -1C.

Also in the 1944 Joint Fighter Conferance the weight of their F4U-1C wa 11,800lbs. That's 500+lbs lighter than ours, WTF!!

One more. I have a weight chart for the F4U-4C that shows it was almost 200lbs lighter than the F4U-4 with .50cals. Which matches the 200lbs weight difference between the -1D and -1C.

I think our C-hog is 500lbs to heavy now.:eek:
