We should have a government program to upgrade every AH pilot every six months or delegalize any CPU faster then Dowdings. After all it is utterly unfair.

I declare myself winner of the Crappiest AH Playing PC Compo. Now I've just got to work on the my entry for the Crappiest AH Player Compo, and I will be King!

Thx Swoop.   Good news is that my brother's PIII 550 PC is winging its way back to my house (he's back from uni). I'll have no excuse for crap stats then.

Mietla - I'm glad you've embraced socialism, I really thought there was no hope for ya.

PS. Note the smiley  . Hehehe...

Just updated my P2 450MHz ---> AMD Duron650 MHZ (Overclocked 800 MHz   ) 256 Mb memory and Voodoo 3 3000 ( 16Mb , 16 bit) AGP ( that Voodoo was leftover from P2). Got 40-30 frames/ sec and smoke send the machine on its knees... (12- 15 fps) . Now FR about 60 - 40.. and still smoke knocks it down to 15- 20 depending from the number of smokes. Not very optimized I think... Just tested Mechwarrior 4 demo.. Looked a BIT better than AH and ran more smoothly.. so I think there could be some slack in graphics optimization.. Dunno really i`m not a programmer but still..

So I won`t win the contest but what the heck , only taking part counts.. ( had to brag a little bout this new comp..took all my savings again)

Flakbait , that banshee card is one good card, i still have one in a computer around here, that bugger is cheap but gives fantastic frame rates.

If the competition had been running back then, you would have been winner.

But the competition is for those regularly playing AH now with a sh*t computer. Don't worry, when I get a new computer, I'll be handing the crown to the next poor b*stard.

I'm kinda embarrassed, but here goes:

The system I am currently using, an Intel PIII 733 (oc'd to 803 @145FSB) with 128 meg of 133mhz RAM, 10gig hard-drive, AGP-V7700 GeForce 2 GTS Deluxe 32 meg videocard, 19" (18" viewable) .26mm dot pitch non-interlaced EV900 monitor, CreativeLabs SB PCI-128    soundcard w/Altec Lansing ACS41 speakers connected to FRONT LINEOUT and BOSE book shelf speakers connected through a 200w Pioneer amp on the BACK LINEOUT, Actiontek 33.3 modem, Saitek X-36 USB joystick and USB CH Pro rudder pedals, 25x CDR-W side-by-side with a 50x cdrom, HP Scanjet 5p scanner, and a Epson Stylus 800 printer.

Looks like it's Time to Upgrade again!!!

Dow I had ya beat for a bit a few months back.  My p2450 got hit in a storm and it was down for several weeks while I waited on new stuff from the insurance company.
I got the itch sooo bad to play I installed it on my p133(non mmx) with 24mb mem and 2 voodoo2 cards.  5 fps tops.
I was surprised it even ran!  I had a blast tooling around like that.
Wouldn't trade back down from this tbird 800mhz tho!
