Hehehe, also forgot to mention the best bass fishing you can find anywhere in the country is here in San Diego.

NOT INDY ( Till my wife lets me do it again ! )

Jordi

One THEORY I heard was to alternate between TX and other cities each year.

Now is there a GROUP in TX that wants to run it so the HTC crew can come and enjoy it and not have to WORK the CON itself ?

Orlando - lots of things to do.  People can take the family for a week or two of vacation (some of which can be con).

If it is done in TX ( or elsewhere ) - I think a group of players should STEP UP and VOLUNTEER TO RUN AND HOST it ( Like I did in Indy ) this will allow the crew at HTC come and actually ENJOY themselves instead of WORKING to pull the CON off.

Orlando would be my choice.

(a) plenty of hotels capable of hosting conventions
(b) http://www.warbirdmuseum.com/
(c) http://www.fantasyofflight.com
(d) http://www.airmuseum.org/content/
(e) http://www.vacwarbirds.org/
(f) http://www.kennedyspacecenter.com/

and for the others there's Walt Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios, Discovery Cove, 3 outlet malls, and gobs of "second tier" tourist attractions along International Drive, such as "Ripley's Believe It or Not" and theme stores and restaurants.

I would imagine Orlando would be an easier sell to a guy with a family.

And I'm a lifetime member of http://www.airmuseum.org and might be able to hook up a banquet deal there as part of the con.
