How do I increase joystick sensitivity around center?
« on: July 22, 2003, 05:07:36 PM »
Just received my new CH HOTAS setup (USB Fighterstick/Pro Throttle/Pro Pedals) and I have to move the joystick a fair amount (especially up and down) before I get any response.  With my TM F-16 FLCS the response was very precise without changing any settings so I've never messed with the sliders or dead band/dampening.  If anyone knows how to increase sensitivity around the center and can explain it to me in simple terms I would appreciate it.

Inside AH under setup and joystick just pull up the sliders on the far left side for all axis where you want more sensitivity near the center.

Also make sure deadband is set as low as you can go without slop.

When it starts slipping out of autopilot because you breath on it you went to far.

I've set all sliders to the top for pitch and dead band and dampening are all the way to the bottom.  Seems to feel better and no problems with spiking at all, everything is rock steady.

You can also set some of the stick scaling within the new version of the programming for the stick. I can help you with it if you want, I have the exact same set up.
