.radio 5 jamusta

You can tune anyone personal.
It has the advantage of bypassing the language filters. And unless the other guy has film rolling you can say anything and get away with it.

The connection you have is between you and the AH server only.

The connection he has is between him and the AH server only.

At no time does traffic travel directly from him to you or visa versa.

The AH server is essentially masking your IP address.

Hes full of ****.

I thought running stuff in the background slowed the game? And does that program work with XP home ed.? Cause I had a basketfull of problems with Zone Alarm and had to stop using it, i've been looking for a something similar ever since.

Airbumba,

You can enable xp home's own firewall.  It works well, I have found no need for zone alarm.

i seriously doubt that guy could do anything to you. IF the guy knew your real IP address he could get your theoratical location - no biggie.

You have no direct connection to any computer other than the AH server.  If you do a hth room, then another user would be able to identify your (the hth server's) ip address, but not under any other circumstances.

Each user communicates to the server, not to each other.  The server acts as a go-between.  The packets from the server to you don't contain any information about the other users' ip addresses.

yepper, black ice is an firewall program, works well but the interface is much more difficult to read than zone alarm. I have black ice in a drawer, am running zonealarm. The performance hit for a firewall program is no biggie, much better to have your IP address hidden while you are on line. I find AH much more enjoyable when channel 1 is squelched. I only unsquelch to congrat someone for a good fight, otherwise the bull*&*$ you hear gets old fast.
