Remember the old TV show You Bet Your Life?  Tour of Duty might be like that.  What ONE plane will you bet your life in for your first Tour of Duty?  

What single plane will get you the best chance of not only accomplishing many missions, but letting you complete your Tour of Duty intact?

Forget the plane selection name calling and perk debates -- just choose the one plane you really would feel most confident with in real life.  

Choose from the entire spectrum -- no telling when each tour may start, i.e., early, mid, or late war.  

Depending how TOD is set up, we may or may not get to choose exactly what we would like.  But if we could, what will you select?

For me, considering speed, range, weapons, agility, versatility, ruggedness, climb, cockpit vis, overall survivability to fly another day ... it would have to be the ...

190's all the way.

Pony is better for close combat than the 190 D9 but I'm a 190 guy till I die so 190's it is. A5 and D9 best to survive in.
