Im not sure if this has been brought up before, so ill say again.  Why cant the aircraft that had them, have rear view mirror's in AH2?

I read somwhere that in real life the mirrors where absolutly useless... You couldnt see an thing in them... And if you saw something in the rear view mirror he was like d-0.1 from you and you where dead :)

Not that it has anything to do with this game...

you know what that spit pilot uses the mirror for?

Mostly to check control surfaces on the tail being there and working properly.

The myth that you couldn't see anything in the mirror is kind of old. If it were true, why would so many aircraft come from the factory with mirrors attached> So the pilot could so makeup?

You only needed the mirror to get a flash or a glimps of another aircraft behind, not so you could read his tail markings.

stuff often came from Civilian Factories designed and built by ppl un-fit or un-qualified for COmbat and could only brainstorm as to what a GI could best make use of.

a Lot of the Aircraft produced by the US and Abraod were made by the auto industry. be Glad the planes didn't come with a Jack and a spare tire!
