Base Capture Settings
« on: August 01, 2003, 09:45:04 PM »
Hi,

I'm putting the finishing touches on my next SquadOp, I need to know how to tell the Setup CM to set base capture to 6 troopers. Could you guys tell me this?

Thanks

Doesn't altering the hardness do it?  Not sure what to, though - Tilt is the expert on that I think when he gets back from his vacation.  :)

I might be wrong, but when I was a CM you could adjust the hardness of the map rooms. Double check, I am pretty sure you can.

Look under "Object Settings". You will see options for "down times, and object hardness". :)

Yes, I had a look earlier - default seems to be .0015?  I don't know enough about hardness settings to know how that translates to 10 paratroopers....  :)

Well im no expert in this but it seams like simple math to me,

Every thing under "objekt settings" translate to x 1000lbs
so a setting 1.0 is ecual to 1000lbs required to kill it,
therefor if a setting to 0.0015 requires 10 para to kill it then 1para=0.15lbs
And that gives  0.15x6=0.9, so a setting to 0.0009 should be what u looking at.

Or is that not how it works ??

Sounds good.... I hadn't really thought about it, but I guess that would work.  Thanks!  :)    :D

Thanks for all of this. I know the maproom has a hardness setting, so I will just recommend 0.0009.

What if we use really overweight paratroopers?
