Spawn point number limit?
« on: August 03, 2003, 02:09:25 PM »
Is there one? I ask becasue while adding spawn points I've ended up with 265 fields. 255-265 have no objects assigned to them and spawn points is the only thing I've added.

Totals according to the Object reporter are:

Fighter Entry: 877
Bomber Entry: 862
Boat Entry: 233
Vehicle Entry: 519

Total: 2491

Fixed. Was just me being tired/stupid.

I added a spawn point from A255... except I made a typo and put in 265. Amazing how one digit can make an entire map go to poop :)

You must be one blind **** then!

To allow fighters to spawn from a field, at least one fighter spawn point must be created.  This also applies to bombers, vehicles, and boats.  A runway should be created to allow landings otherwise everything is a ditch.

Spawn points are a very important part of fields.  They allow aircraft, vehicles and boats to launch or spawn in a given location.  The shape ENTPNT (entry point) is invisible, and thus used for spawn locations.  The very first spawn point placed down for each type of spawn point at a given field XX is automatically associated with the hangar spawn location and will be named FXXBME0 for a bomber spawn, FXXFTE0 for a fighter spawn, and FXXVHE0 for a vehicle spawn.  Remembering to orient the spawn points direction is probably the most important factor of placement.

Guess where I found this, THE ****ING MANUAL!!!

Next read the ****ing manual instead of glancing at it, you stupid peice of ****.

Now get back on that short bus and take it to spelling classes.

Even Dover doesn't deserve that, was wondering when your parents stopped having a babysitter for you because its evident that you don't play and work well w/ others and need some supervision! You'll get no more help from me and I think you should say I'm sorry to Ben.

As I said before, this is a direct cut and paste from THAT manual.

That was found by using that peice of magic thats in most help files and on most forums; The SEARCH function.
