Blind spots thread

Human eye is one of the most famous refutations for the hypothesis that human beings are the result of "Intelligent Design" or "Creation" ratehr than evolutionary development.

The wiring of the nerves from the retina cells is "done" on the front side of the retina - interfering with the vision and requiring a blind spot where the nerves have to cross to the rear side of the retina.

According to the evolutionists, eyes evolved independently at least 40 times in the course of evolution and there are multiple "designs" that arose.

The squids do have an eye very similar to ours - a lense and retina type, but their optic wiring is done on the rear side of the retina, not causing blind spots or sencitivity loss due to an extra layer.

Did you know that many animals have a reflecting coat behind the retina so that any photons that pass through a light-sensitive sell without reacting would have a chance to bounce right back and react again.
That is why the cat's and dog's eyes seem to glow green in the dark when you shine a light at them.
