i decided to start keeping a record of my dreams. here's #1 feel free to analyze or post your own!

8/8/2003

nick and i were going to some type of party. it was at exit 152 on the highway, but he fell

alseep and i thought it was 162. we were coming from the south. Finally he woke up as we got

to 162 and told me of my mistake, that it was 152 not 162. Right then, a cop pulled us over.

She was a woman, and there was another cop car who pulled over a black guy at the same time. I

thought mabye i had been speeding, but the cop just pulled out a big wrench and tightened the

bolts on our wheels (we were driving a truck that belonged to nick, even though he doesn't own

one). I was like what the hell, and the woman cop pointed out that our two rear wheels had

been stolen and we were driving on the rims. I haad never noticed, and now the wheels were

quite damaged. Nick was upset, but i explained i'd never driven his truck before, and I hadn't

felt anything wierd driving. We thanked the officer and drove to the party.

" exit 152"

The dream indicates you're a closet Luftwaffle. You have latent, but obvious,  asperations to be Kurt Tank.

My analysis:

Do you really think that other people will find your dreams interesting?

Zig, for what purpose are you recording dreams?  Recording them will majorly help your overall memory and dream recall... which leads me to assume you might be into lucid dreaming?

I've had a lot of dreams involving Christy Canyon.  Had to change underwear as soon as I woke up though...

My take (with disclaimer at the end):

You're overly afraid of making mistakes (162 or 152?), especially unkowingly or just because of who you are (black guy pulled over, the classic case of innocence accused just by existing).

Yet you know you've done nothing overtly wrong (cop tightening the bolts instead of writing ticket).  Yet still the fear persists and is eventually realized (driving on rims).

I suspect that the fear of making mistakes (or of failing) stems from a strong female figure you knew growing up, like your mom or a teacher (the cop who pulls you over is a woman).

It probably all boils down to that some woman in your life was waaay to stringent in holding you to the "rules" or to an unrealistic standard of performance.

(disclaimer:  dreams are the brain's attempt to make sense out of the random firing of the vision sensing cones when closed.  Often, dreams are irrelevant and don't hold any meaning because the brain makes associations of an iconic nature when viewing these random firings.  Like seeing shapes in clouds - sometimes they just _look_ like something you've seen before.)

You gotta look between the lines and see the sexual connotations.  :)

Zigrat, the fact that the cop was a woman shows that you desire to be dominated by a strong female with handcuffs and a nightstick.  Or possibly you see yourself as a dominant character and seek a woman who is your equal, but certainly not passive or powerless.  You want a partner, not a trophy.  That's why the lady is a cop instead of a waitress or hitchhiker or something.

The fact that the other cop is a black male shows that you are in conflict with your homosexual tendencies, which were resolved by your brain making the black male silent while the white woman explains the problem with your truck - your truck being a phallic symbol.  That the truck was damaged in some minor way shows that you have a fear of being a low-performer sexually, but you aren't aware of it until the woman points it out and the black man, representing your homosexual side, corrects it, making you "whole" again.

Nick's role in all of this is to observe - a sort of passive judge to support you without being an active participant.

That you were able to remember your dream at all shows that either the dream was particularly intense or you were interrupted while coming out of the dream state.  Usually, if someone is allowed to wake on their own, they won't remember their dreams unless something deeply emotional happens or they are disturbed by an outside source (alarm clock or outside noise of some sort).

The whole "152" or "162" business is simply your mind in a state of confusion, probably caused by daily stress or being in a state of deep sleep where metabolism is at its lowest and not being certain if you're dead or alive - the brain having a near-death experience, so to speak.

Or maybe this is all just a bunch of hooey and your mind just wanted to have an adventure.

Gofaster, is your real name, Freud ;)

I have a question, Freud. If flying dreams are something to do with sex. Then what if you are a pilot and dream of flying, are you dreaming of flying or sex? Tough one that!

My recurring dream is that I'm flying whether in a plane or a cardboard box, yes it's that surreal. Suddenly I'm flying too low and there's powerlines ahead of me. At this point I wake in a cold sweat.

Most of my other dreams are like badly made movies, which makes sense as I been an extra in one or two bad movies in my time.

I always find that if I remember a dream in detail, then something like that happens shortly afterwards.  So  Zigrat check your wheel nuts and get your map out.

Subconsciencely you realize that Nick is pretending to be your friend, has arranged for you to drive his vehicle with the wheelnuts loosened,
have you signed any papers lately?
Your female cop is a projection of your mother who managed to save your A** your whole life, and set you back on the road safely, the handcuffs and your mother image are something you may want to talk to a professional about..I digress,
The stolen wheels signify the wasted years of your life, and now driving on the rims, show your precarious hold on your sanity
If it were me I would seriously contemplate ending it- sounds sad and pathetic......

Have a nice day   :)

Dreams of flying are simply manifestations of the highs you get from sexual activities.  If you fly Superman-style, then you prefer to be on top like a bear.  If you fly the other way, then you prefer to be like a sultan, on the bottom and letting the woman do all the work.  If you're flying around swirly-like, then you're simply remembering what it was like to be a fetus.

As for the powerlines, those represent the entanglements that occur when you have sex with someone with an agenda, possibly marriage and loss of freedom.  Or maybe the fear of being sued for child support, or pulling a Kobe Bryant.

Maybe I'm right and maybe I'm wrong, but at least its entertaining! :p
