Hiyas,
First WTFG to all!!
Second, I recently, 6 months ago, left WBs and came here. I was a WBer for 6 years. I have some tips to help you that the WBers will all have.
1. In the Main WBs folder you will find a file called init.cfg. This file can be used for many things but the things you might need are here. Just copy this text and place it in the init.cfg in the WBs Main file. If the file is not there simply copy this and paste it into Note Pad and save the file as init.cfg and place it in the WBs Main folder:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
.shadows 0
.bgminrenderrange 5000
.lindablair
.gamma 1.1
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Explanations:
.shadows 0: turns off the shadows and improves frame rates
.bgminrenderrange 5000: this stands for "Bad Guy Minimum Render Range", or how soon you see da bad guy

.lindablair: this gives you the dead "6" view. Often discussed as to its dweebness it is still used by many. To turn it off simply type: .lindablair in the radio bar and press enter.
.gamma 1.1: You may find WBs to be too dark on your machine. The .gamma setting can be 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc. You get the idea.
Big P-51 tip!!! You can pretty much click a notch of flaps and dive straight down with out "coughing a wing". It is much harder to compress the P-51 in WBs as it is most WBs planes. Experiment!
Distance D3 in WBs = 300 in AH. Never shoot from longer than D5 and I recommend D3.
Good luck! I hope this helps. More Q's E-mail me.
