I use to use hostsave, they where pretty good, but they just offered more than I needed, so I went with the one nacho has.  The domain registration was on their site, but it wasn't through them it was network solutions I think.  Was 10-12 bucks a year for it.

http://www.godaddy.com is $10 and you own the name, so you can use any host you want. Stay away from network solutions, I've heard nothing but grief from folks who went through 'em. Their prices are, at last check, outrageous.

Go Daddy is probably the best deal of all, IMHO. They are responsive and you can do everything you need electronically. Network Solutions is a bureaucratic nightmare. Even after a domain as expired, they won't let go of it for years. On top of that, they require all sorts of "validation" if you want to make any major changes and they expect fax proof and/or you have to speak directly to an unresponsive representative on the phone.

For hosting, I recommend Surpass Hosting. You can have a website up with 300 MB of space, 5 GB of throughput and 5 email addresses for about $23 per year. For less than $5 per month, you can have 525 MB of space, 15 GB of throughput and unlimited email addresses.

Sandman turned me on to surpass hosting about a year ago...been using them happily ever since.  No major problems.  I've always registered with Discount Domain Registry and am happy with them, but they're $15.  I've transferred a few domains to several different places with them with no problems.  Sounds like godaddy is just as good and cheaper tho'.

I do know their customer service is outrageous. At one poin I wanted to change my domain name to another service, so I goto their website like it tells me too attempt to login. Nothing. So Do the username recover and it is this mile long thing that I never entered in and they never gave me. And, you can't get your password without sending in a copy of your driver liscence and a recent photo. PITA, so I just canceled them.
