As you know, Pilot need to use O2 in high alt.

so

1) Pilot will be black out if continue to fly over 18000ft.(I don't know exact alt)
2)Add O2 supply switch
3) Set time usage until running out of Oxygen cylinder like wep
4) Pilot have to go low alt if O2 bin empty.
5) Need damage model O2 cylinder
if Hit O2 cylinder critical damage of plane or Pilot can't grab high alt if any trouble of it.
Is it more real isn't it?

It will make more story isn't it !!

Case 1)
You fight in high alt and no advantage.
however if his O2 cylinder empty, He have to go low alt otherwise black out.

Case 2)
You chase Buff in High alt.
You have to give up if running out of O2.

Case 3)
Your plane has clitical damage if bullet hit your O2 cylinder unfortunately.

The big effect is
Fighter can't stay long time in high alt like before.  right

Zeiram:

A 12 litre 232bar tank of fuel weights about 15kg or so. In it, you have 2782 litres of gas. When scubadiving at very shallow depths, I can make it last for about 2*45 minutes, if there is no current or cold.

Up it to 20 litre, and add gas laws, and supply will last for very long.

Of course, I'd like to see oxygen hits, but that has little to do with the time you still have oxygen supply, if you have no damage to tanks.

Hi StSanta,

You do Scubadiving me too
Thank you for your advise
It is true that air keep long time in case of shallow diving
then, No sense to add switch if It keep more than hour if O2 tank of WW2 plane are same size or more.

However damage model of O2 tank is effective.
1)damage of O2 tank =>Black out in high alt(can't allow to use O2 )
2)critical hit of O2 tank =>Explosion like last scean of "JAWS"

Pyro it is more easy to add future isn't it?

Zei:

Yep; great sport. Diving around here generally sucks; visibility around 3-9 feet, often the former, strong currents and cold water.

But there are some great wrecks that make it all worthwhile.

Yeh, agree damage to o2 should be simulated. Imagine a bullet rupturing a fully loaded 300 bar tank - NOT pretty.

Plus, pilot would get frost bite from the cooling
