I agree with Raub.  Cabby was definitely up there as a winning contender, and all of the Mindanao hating whines should have got an honourable mention as well.

Acceptance speech needs a little work lepaul.

P.S.  Can you win again with a whine about winning "Whine of the Week"?

Somebody give Cabby honorable mention.  He deserves SOMETHING for that effort.

Bowser:  The issue (of winning for whining about winning) was already broached after LePaul's response to his first victory.  I believe the ruling was NO.

Shouldn't the various Mindanao whiners have been the collective winner?    Those were the most pathetic whines I've seen all week for sure!

Tough week to choose.. lots of good contenders, as mentioned.

Multiple Nominations for Mindanao? Very Worthy.

Kieran's nomination of "the flying poultry guy" for "AH being off because I can't split-S or barrel-roll"? Incredibly Tough Competitor; just incredibly tough.

"Newbies"?

Well, considering that HTC isn't doing charity work here...

and considering that newbies = more $$$ for HTC...

and that more $$$ for HTC helps ensure the vitality and progress of my #1 choice for computer recreation....

"Newbies" by the thinnest of thin hairs (RCH?).

Agreed! With over 100 responses it wins hands down in the troll category, as well as the "dweeb-in-denial" category.

I think Rude just overlooked it until FASS has time to grow up a tad.   :D

Where does your definition originate from?

Oh...also, from the tone of your reply, do I take it you thought his post to be in good taste, possibly helpful in some way?

Just curious   ;)

From my Webster's copy:
drawing, peevish wail; unmanly complaint; v.i. to utter peevish cry; to complain in a childish way.

I think what Rip was trying to say is that there is no better example of this than the childish nature of whining about the whiner.

One thing you don't hear most children do is cry about their siblings or peer crying.
Child's toy brakes, he/she crys to mom.  If you (Rude) were his/her sibling, we might expcet you to cry to mom about the first child crying about his/her toy.  SENSLESS.

There is validity in the initial whine, but most often, the true whine is the second.

My apologies for my tone of voice yesterday on the BBS, we lost 3 employees due to lay-offs, and life time friendships went out the door, I was on the rag yesterday.

Again, apologies to Rude.

Don't sweat it Rip...sorry to hear about. I hope both you and Yeager are settled in.

<S>

Viper....

Your logic escapes me...I'm whining about whiners? And the Whiner is...a simple statement of fact.

Now I know you don't like me doing this so I understand you whining about it...but for me to change my ways would require me to care about how you felt about this issue.

Simple enough isn't it?

  :p

Well, we don't all agree that this is "Factual."
It is "your" opinion that someone is whining.

And I think this is an example of what Rip meant when he said, "Insecurity in its finest form."
You repeatedly complain (whine) about someone elses complaint (whine) as if to hide your own issues.

You obviously care or you wouldn't pay attention, much less respond.

And it's not that I don't like you doing this...in fact it makes me feel more secure to see you whine louder than all of us put together.  :D
I do wish you would use your incredibly creative mind for more constructive ventures though.  :)

I just find it very interesting that my largely-rhetorical questions/post, which had a lot of good responses from folks who happned to have agreed, is considered a whine.

I consider things like people *comlpaining* that buffs are too tough and other nonsense as *whines*....things that are simply not true and genuine exaggerations.

My post was not a *whine* to this degree.  I posted about the fact a lot of newbies, not all, are ruining some of the gameplay for others and myself, having to endure tutoring them on Channel 2 since they couldn't be bothered to read the help files, practice in the training room, etc etc.

Instead, someone like Rude who takes it upon himself to take someone's post and label it a whine because he doesn't agree with, or like it.  Prejudice in its finest form.

So be warned, everyone, if your post doesn't measure up to Mr Rudes standards, your post can be the next victim.  Rather than elaborating on the points that original post was made about, we instead hammer the author in this ridiculous manner/thread.

This thread is just a long and tiring personal attack on me, and as a repeat "winner", its nice to see who my friends are and are not.  It will truly be remembered.  Its nice to think twice about sharing my 2 cents from now on.
