My finest hour
« on: August 15, 2003, 03:37:03 PM »
  i just logged on and this is the best hour ive ever had on AH. First i up from la7 in a 109F4(as usual) and go down to a6 and kill an la7 by out turning him. I see we are in trouble in the north so i go to 49 where 1 friendly is up and 2 cons. I up my 109F4 get in the fight one of a 109 the other is a la7. So im going for the la7 the friendly is also casing then the 109 pops in front of me at d300 then pulls back up and turn right. he was so close i was able to see he was a 109G10 or G6 so i realize i can out turn him so i use that to my advantage. Im out turning him i fire 15 cannon round they all hit the 109 in the tail. he loses something and fall's to the earth..... IT was artlaw. so by then the la7 is ded but we lose 49:( .so i land at the nearest base. I get 4 perks just for 1 kill:D . so im defending another base right now and i see p51 coming straight into the field i turn on him fire few cannons he is on fire. then i see a 202. I'm think umm taste snack.im chasing him and he is running from me then he gets to his dives i follow do couple of circles to burn speed cause i couldn't turn that well. he is landing so i come in and my wing falls off just was i about to open fire on the 202 and ack kills me.........202 was fariz so then after that im whining on channel 1. :( (shame on me) best day ive ever had on Ah and not 1 HO.
(looks through for gammar mistakes)(sees some but decides not to correct them :))

my finest hour:

I up a hurricane at a base being capped by high f4u's, i see this one looking at me from about 7k, i give him the old "here, have my 3 o clock approach" as he dives in i pull towards and under his nose, just before he passes above my 12 o clock i am already pulling into an immelmann turn, im stalling and inverted and the superfast f4u is now 500-600 yards away.  I squeeze off 15 or so rounds from my quad hispano's as a token gesture and finish my loop ready to face the next attack.

SYSTEM: You have killed Beet1e

The swearing and abuse i received afterwards just made it even better :)

LOL furball! Sorry about anything I said, but you omitted to mention that you goaded me with your gratuitous advice. I wasn't in the mood. It was my first time up for about three days, had just got back from the pub etc..., and had forgotten to adjust my mind to "AH-tard-deflection mode". I never even saw you, if you were in a HURR. The only con I had seen was a 190. Anyhow, those 500 yard shots are BS, as you should well know. Occasionally WW2 pilots got a lucky shot at that sort of distance, but it was not the routine deal that it is in AH, and certainly not immediately after pulling an immelman.

Glad I was able to provide you with your finest hour. I never knew I was such a prize!

But boy that was 1 in a million shot, was incredibly lucky, if only i was recording!

hehe, that 3 days off is costing me dear. I've come back completely rusty. Can't hit a sausage, missing sitters, lawndarting 109s in deck pursuits...

No bad language. I think I asked you to PO! Skuzzy was online at the time - I remember noticing that.

Yes, the Yak-9U... where the U stands for über. I prefer challenges. I like to fly a plane that's not so easy so as to create that challenge. At the same time I need survivability against all the late war monsters. So I fly the 109G10 and G6 with spud cannon and no gondolas. That's a challenge. I'd fly the F4U range more, but they don't have the performance to survive against the Big Three.

Yak may be uber, but i fly it like most things i fly, thats stay low and mix it.  Its these running dweebs that give planes a bad name :)

Only 109's i like are F-4 and G-2.  F-4 is like a spit in disguise!

oh there was also phuckoff and a couple more PO's and an FO later when i was talking to someone else, dunno why u threw that one in :D ;) :D

and as for the F4u's, only one worth a damn i find is the chog.  I love that plane, spiral climb over cv to about 10k (usually get one or 2 of the suiciding dweebs while doing it;)), fly over the fight and BnZ to your hearts content!
