Joystick Recommendations for a 4 year old Lefty?
« on: August 16, 2003, 02:47:16 PM »
I'm looking at purchasing a joystick for my son. He's 4, and left-handed. I would also like this to be a USB joystick.

I saw a Logitech Wingman 2  for $20. And even though it's for a right handed person, it felt like it would work ok for a southpaw.

Any other recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

saitek,
They are the only ones i know for sure that make sticks that can be right or left.  The cyborg is adjustable for right and left and for size of the hand tho I am not sure if it will cover a 4 yr old.

Saitek Cybord 3D Gold USB is an excelent stick.
Its cheap, adjustable, both on right/left and height, but maybe the trigger/buttons head is a bit too big for this hand (ie not reaching the trigger or the 4ways hat).
Get the clerk guy to show it to you.
If you do get it, try teaching him to be gentle on it, pulling harder and harder wont make the plane turn harder :).

Get a CHpro stick - has 3 buttons and a hat - for both right and left handers - built to last - still have my first one from 10 years ago - expensive though.

oops sorry forgot to add - if you are willing to take a gameport rather than USB stick and are willing to pay postage from the UK you can have my old one for free.

Thanks guys, I'll probably just go with a cheaper Saitek for now, although the CH Flightstick will be the one to get eventually.
