Changing fuel/armament on the pad
« on: August 13, 2003, 08:57:47 PM »
I think it would be a good idea to be able to change how much fuel you want in your plane or what you want to carry on it. For example, you just landed in a TBM after bombing something nearby, but now you want to go on patrol for other carriers. So for maybe 1 or 2 perk points per change, you could change fuel from 25% to 100% or from bombs to torps, etc. You would taxi onto the pad or into the hangar and then choose.

Also, a perk system for repairs would be something like this:
1 perk- One aileron or elevator
2 perks- Damaged gun
And so on.

A good way to prevent pilots from just landing thier kills instead of rearming and refuling would be to award special prizes for kill streaks, Whether it be perk multiplyer or plane-related upgrades.

Every now and then I like to keep the same plane I first jumped into when I get in the game. I will fly from base to base and hot pad for fuel and ammo, looking for stragglers on auto pilot somewhere or just not paying attention.

The only time I land these planes is if they are damaged. Otherwise I enjoy keeping the same plane for an entire night if possible.

It would be great if we could get a repair system in place.

I'll go along with the repairs, if you concede that you can only get fuel and ordinance at the levels available at the field at the time.

Kinda strange that you can hotpad and get 100% fuel, drop tanks and ord, when the field is down to 25% fuel, and ord is disabled.

I would also like to see repairs  (but minor repairs only ) like guns or elevator or something of that nature..

Also I second Weav's post on the only getting whats available at that field. so if ord isn't there  your SOL

dunno too much about the perk thing..  I would rather just get a new plane (unless I was a score hore)

Agreed ........... overdue this one IMO...........

However I would link it to a massive increase in fuel targets per airfield.............. and other anti pork stuff
