Yes, W2K does not come with an MP3 player by default.

The Media player is associated with the file you are clicking on. If you do not want Media Player to be associated with that file type, then go into Media Player and change what it is associated to in the options/preferences (Tools->Options..I believe) for it.

When you open explorer; go up to folder containing this folder; go to the view menu and check "thumbnails".

Then, right click on the icon for the folder in question; choose properties then click on the customise tab

(Win XP instructions; but I imagine Win2K is similar)
