You mean body-wise? (all 3 series are based off the M3 body) If so, which? E36? E46?  Or do you mean engine and body?

I think by 'original' he means the E30 chassis with the delicious S14.

Am I the only one that thinks that the E30 M3 interior was the best design... ever?

I meant the original M3, the first version they made.  The one that was actually a Group A homologation car.  It won the DTM and was also a decent rally car.

Ah, yes, the 1987...very nice! 300-bhp M3 won eight international titles in its very first season. Acceleration to 62 mph in just five seconds and the top speed, depending on the transmission ratio, is about 174 mph.
