I never flew the "S" model.........
« on: August 21, 2003, 11:26:37 PM »
but here is a, so far as I know, a never before told tale by the folks that were there at the time.

Wanna know what Strat Recon was about? Here's a taste of ONE of the missions.

Salute to REG and the rest of those that flew out of Shemya
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

Yeah, Wulf.. I knew you'd enjoy that.

Did you ever fly with Bob Brown? Jeez, he was simply a hoot. I knew him when he was an L/C and he tried so hard to be all grown up and officer/leaderlike. But the kid kept slipping out on him. :D

I didn't know him but you know.. a lot of the pilots were just
big kids during my tour.  The stress of the mission and intensity of it all had to have some outlet.
hell, I won gobs of dough from our pilot during uh...
official card games.. yeah.. :)

thanks for the memories bro!

had to do the V model too.. but the S was sexier
with the black wing and inboard nacelles.
I was on Corbra Ball.
