- Stargate, had a ball watching the movie, has a ball watching the serie.

Lexx? Never seen the movie, the show made me fell from my bed more than once:D

I like Dune, the movie was a trip. The scify serie, although I missed most of it, got me imnpressed in the "spirit of Dune" and the sceneries/setting.

Highlander, good nb1 movie. #2 succed awfull. #3 was barely average. The serie is good but a bit too linear (sense bad guy, wohoo my old nemesis from the past, chop bad guy head).
Dat jugs bro.

M*A*S*H the movie is what Catch-22 the movie should have been. The series was excellent.

I don't like Stargate, the film was much better but the concept is very interesting.

In regards to Stargate movie, btw, there is a new one that will be made next year according to the producers of the show.  It will feature the cast of the show.

Also of interest, a SG-1 spinoff (Stargate:Atlantis) is planned.

Another vote for Stargate.

Who can fault MacGuyver in the future?

Ok... we need a Type-88 Plasma Ray Gun to melt those baddie Egyptian type Alien doods...

Get me a rubber band, three cotton balls and stapler.

What's with the ,,,,,,, nonsense?  Is your keyboard broken?

In regards to the Colonel O'Neill character, keep in mind that Kurt Russell portrayed a guy who has JUST lost his son.  Richard Dean Anderson has the harder role, portraying a guy who has his demons but has to get on with life, even though the image of his son is never far from his thoughts.

I don't like SG1....I liked the movie though, would have appreciated a few sequels with the same cast.

I used to watch it on public television (channel 8 in Houston) late at night on a black and white television with an antennea.  LOL

Got me thinking of funky shaped trash cans with little pointy things sticking out of them, running around saying "Exterminate, exterminate, exterminiate"

Good stuff.

BTW  Buffy sucks.  If she wasn't good looking nobody would give two shiites about the movie or the series.  And it's just a stupid storyline IMO, has too much of a 90210 vibe to it.  Maybe I'm just too old to "appreciate" it, but then again I also think most t.v. these days is shiite anyway.  So there you go.

MASH was the shiite though.  Great story lines, excellent actors.  While I was in high school (83-87) I would watch MASH followed by Night Court with my father every week night before bedtime.

I laughed the most when that CIA guy came around in MASH.  Don't remember his name but he was hystarically funny and slightly insane.

And I used to masturbate to the thought of Markie Post's boobs from Night Court :p

Wow, now the beer's really talking :D

One of the things I like so much about SG1 is the cast's and writer's ability to draw intense emotional responses from me.  Whether that be a deep belly laugh or a lump in the throat.

Not that I'm admiting to being brought to tears by a silly TV show or anything . . .

Yes Drunky, I'm an old fart.  By '83 when you started high school I'd already done six years in the Marine Corps and was Working at Hughes on the AH-64 Apache startup . . . I watched Dr Who on PBS too - channel 8 in Phoenix.  It followed Monty Python's Flying Circus.

*Obligatory Marine reference to PROVE I really don't get sad over TV shows . . . *

Just heard they are making "Starsky & Hutch" and Snoop Dog has been cast as Huggy Bear. This HAS to be worth watching.
