vidio problem monotor shuts down
« on: August 15, 2003, 08:23:31 AM »
Hi, I have just begun to have a problem with AH when I load the game it goes to white load screan then when it tries to load the vidio the monitor shuts itself to sleep mode. I have to do a soft boot to start the system again. This has just started and I have run ah wiht little problems before. I have read some of the note I have deleated the vidio.cfg file I have renamed the settings file and I have also completely removed ah and the files left behind and ren installed it same problem. Lastly I reinstalled dx9 no nelp

I have a rivatnt2 ti200 video card. I wonder if some settings got messed up ? Any Ideas would be greatly apreciated. If more information is needed let me know. Also all my other programs seem to work fine.

Thanks,

Greg aka Gigg

Have you updated your video card drivers? That being said, that card may not support Dx9, if it doesn't that would cause all kinds of problems.

???

I seriously doubt that...

Sounds like you manually configed the refresh rate and your monitor can't handle the resolution+refresh rate combination...

what res are you trying to run at?

Thanks everyone for the help. It appears my gf3 ti 200 was just in the process of going. I could not even post until now. I had to replace the card.
