Can't speak for other school systems, but the 6th grade English books in my county last year were (for the second semester) Wrinkle in Time and Tuck Everlasting.  I'm pretty sure I read WiT when I was in school, around the same age, hadn't ever read Tuck.  

Nothing real controversial or anything, both of them were decent books.

You have two options.

1) Always "know" that you can't accomplish something before you try. Give up after the first several attempts because you "knew" you couldn't do it.

2) Know that because it's possible (as many others are able to) that you will succeed as well. Just have to practice and have a positive attitude.

Instead of your dad showing you how it's done, maybe he should allow you to try it so he can coach you as you're doing it. Know that you can and you will (may take a few attempts, but you'll succeed)

ROFL yes i found it even though lady said it was in another building:rolleyes:. never had lockers before.
