Can't wait to see how they perform. Looks like I'll be selling my Fuji S602 :D

Finally hi megapixel counts for a somewhat reasonalbe price.

Canon EOS 300D
Sony F828
FujiFilm S7000

The EOS 300D looks pretty nice.  Should be some real competition for the Nikon D100... given the price is 40% lower.

I was originally going to get The fuji S602, but see that the S5000 and the S7000 are comng out soon, so depending on how much the S7000 costs it will be the S5000 for me.

S7000  $799.

S5000  $499.

Should be able to find S602s at $400-450 then.

EOS-300D is the only one to pay attention to in that pack  -- it's a real SLR.

CMOS sensor should be good for power consumption -- that's probably a big part of how they're bringing the price down.
(although it's still a color filter array).

We'll see how it holds up in quality, but yeah, they're starting to become reasonably priced.

I have an Elan 7 already and have been waiting for a reasonably priced digital that can utilize my three Canon lenses.  Does anyone know of the exisiting Canon Autuo Focus lenses will work on this camera?  I hope I hope I hope!
