I am looking for 4 gearboxes for a P-39D that goes with an Allison V1710-35 engine. Anyone know where I can find them - cost is not an issue.

There is a P=39 on static display at the March Field Museum. They also have an allison engine on blocks in the building. Point is, they are looking for money right now to help finance a new building and site. Make them an offer on the allison.

Short story rather long and convoluted - we have a single P-39D and 3 others, not sure of the varients. Right now, i'm trying to hunt around for the gearboxes and engines - they can be paste and glue specials so long as they are rebuilt. We have the 37mm gun - so yea, basically engines and gearboxes.
