Do you think men will ever go to Mars? What would it be, a two year voyage. One year there, and one year back.
I asked my brother one time how big a Mars rocket would have to be, if launched in the fashion of the Apollo moon rockets. He said, about the size of the Empire State Building.
So that idea is out.
Gotta be done some other way, far as propulsion goes. Then there's the human factor. Two years cooped up in a reatively small space. Can't be done without suspended animation of some sort.
