A friend of mine owns and autocrosses a Dodge GLH, and that thing is a rocket. Neil Stephenson described it as a 'poor man's porsche' in Zodiac, and that's about right.

20th Anni. Trans Ams had this engine combo as well. Did they run as good as the GN's did? Never really heard one way or the other.

My 96 Camaro has the 3.8 normally aspirated and it has enough horses to keep me satisfied but not enough to get me in trouble.

well... I think what the kids are saying these days is that like the Harley... the old muscle cars are all being bought up by us old farts.

deja gives a good example. the Chevelle he is talking about woulda been 2-3 grand 10 years ago... to get it to be a big block SS clone can cost an additional 10-30 grand...

Staga sent me some car mags from his country... it is different... younger set and they are having fun with their cars... driving them and such... the U.S. car scene is mostly about parades and lawn chairs. Just like Harley riding is about parades and designer clothing.

Well we do have lawn chairs in here too.
(btw reg-plate is HEM-1, that 'Cuda used to "live" in small town 30-40kmh NE from Helsinki, dunno if same guy still owns it).

Edit: Same 'Cuda at carshow. I don't think too many guys are only showing their cars; most are also driving them in our (short) summers.

Hey Laz, how do you carry lawn chairs on a Harley? Sounds like a cool idea, you know, ride till your tired then break out the lawn chairs for some rest...

staga... that is what I meant... those guys taking a trip in the cuda. I use mine for everyday transportantion. If I pull in at a rest stop people ask me what "event" I'm going to. Then they get a little closer and see that my car is far from a show car.

mark... never did lawnchairs but extended wide glides will work in a pinch.. if it is raining you have to decide on whether to use your coat for a tent half or to keep warm... especially if you are allready using your t shirt for a front fender.

Can you post a cockpit-cam film of your muscle car driving around Helsinki at 200+ KMH (note to lazs: 200+ KMH means fast). I really enjoyed the motorcycle film and am looking forward to the 4 wheel version.
