Arnie for Prez

OK, I know he wasn't born in the USA, but fo rthe sake of argument, what would it take to get that clause removed so he can run for Prez?

Oddly enough, the dems might actually support an amendment.  There's already some talk (overoptimistic of course) about Michigan's Canadian-born governor, Jennifer Granholm, running for president a few years down the line.

I'm assuming it's quite difficult to amend the constitution. Maybe I'm hoping. Although Arnie does seem to be pro-choice, anti-assault weapons and big on kids. Maybe he's just what the US needs, then again maybe not.

I think you confused Arnie and Chuck Norris (or a mix of Chuck Norris and Sylvester Stalonne :))

IIRC, it takes 2/3 majority in both the Senate and House of Representatives, then ratification of the amendment by 3/4 of the states legislatures as well.  So yes, it's pretty difficult.

I think its very possible that it will be changed - maybe not for Arnie, but down the road someone will challenge it eventually.

Hopefully a Republican candidate - as then the Rep's have a reason to vote yes, and anything that 'tears down walls of discrimination' is something that no Democratic candidate would dare vote against if they wanted to keep their job.
