In my opinion there's two features that should be implemented very soon. Their absence is hurting the gameplay alot.
1) Damage graphics. Oil leaks, smoke from dead engine, fuel leak graphics, smoke and fire form destroyed wings or fuselage, ailerons, rudders, stabilizers flying off, explosions etc.
I really cannot tell how much I've damaged a plane unless I land a dozen of cannon hits in the enemy and I know it's dead for sure. Some clue should be given, even if it was graphically primitive.
2) Varying engine sound and airframe oversress sound (airframe shake). Engine sound should vary according to speed, rpm etc. Having the same tone all the time is confusing. 100% throttle gives you the same sound at 100mph and 500mph, there's no way to aurally judge your speed. Only way is to watch the speed gauge all the time.
And one feature that is simply annoying...
The guns. When you fire your guns the sound starts as very low and the volume keeps increasing towards the end. Why? I always though the 1st round sounds the same as the 15th! Atleast that's the case in all automatic weapons I've fired (7.62 mm assault rifle, 7.62 light MG, 12.7mm AA MG, the old good 7.62mm Maxim MG from 1930's)
Otherwise than that... you're on a good track HTC!! Keep up the good work... I'm really starting to fall for your little game
