Killer Clouds
« on: September 09, 2003, 10:21:53 AM »
I am enjoying this setup with the exception of the "Killer Clouds", which pretty much reduce my frame rate to an unplayable level.  Is it possible for them to be removed or reduced?  Others seem to be having the same problems with this as me.

There were some good fights going on last night near A4....then the clouds rolled in and ruined it.  Seems like this happens alot on this map....just when something gets going in an area with a decent amount of people mixing it up the clouds shut everybody down.  I know that at any given time its possible to find another area of the map without the cloud issue, but it just seems unfotunate to have to break up a good fight and try to move elsewhere.

Otherwise a great setup!

Yeah  pls do something about them.
I usually get 40-50 fps but as soon as the clouds roll in boom...
down to teens.

If I remember correctly, Nuttz made this map and had some problem with all the cloud formations being compressed into the one Poison Cloud...something like that....but it takes a complete redesign of the map to fix it, and that's not efficient, given the imminence of AH2.  So we live with it.
