It's about some guys who go to Vietnam and then come back to civilian life. Ice T is in it. He gets a job as a butcher in the local market, but the boss has to lay him off.
Finally, he and some of his war buddies decide to rob an armored truck transporting $4 million in old bills marked for destruction. They botch the job, blowing the truck up, along with most of the money, but do manage to cart off a large sum. Several of the guards and robbers get killed in the process.
They split up the loot, and one of them (a reverend) goes off and buys a new Caddy, then starts giving away money to the needy in his congregation. This attracts the attention of the police, who catch him. He talks, and the others eventually get caught.
Can't remember the title of this movie to save my life, but it has a great soundtrack with some Isaac Hayes songs. It was on HBO not that long ago.
Anyone recall the title? Thanks.
