Perks are stored at the HTC server , in association with your account.    you dont lose them until you unsubscribe ,or your account expires.

You need to save elsewhere the "settings" folder in HTC directory plus any others you want to keep such as your films and sights. and possibly terrains and lastly sounds if you have alternative sounds installed.

One thing about saving your old files/folders  from a program to cd then reinstalling them ... After wards you sometimes have to change them from "Read only"   back to "Archive" (or leave them open)   so changes can be made to those files....

This has caused my game to crash several times in the past after a fresh install.

Should u wish to save ALL or certain portions from 1 computer to the next w/o any worries whatsoever, I'm recommending that u
purchase for a paltry sum (under $100.00) the following:

                  Intellimover from http://www.Detto.com

I've had 3 computers w/data being transferred from 1 to the recent purchase to the more recent purchase in the last 5 years.
Intellimover was used each time w/NO hassles.   ALL data was
saved  :D  even the info 2b deleted in the recycle bin, which I for-
got to do prior to data transfer.

Cheers,

Happy1  :D

Intellimover is an awesome tool and as a computer technician I recommend it for its' ease of use and cleanliness of transfers.

If you don't have the $100 for it though than to answer your question make a copy of C:\Program Files\HTC. This will save everything. Films, Stick Configs, Plane Configs, maps the whole thing. If you copy this to a CD and then transfer it to your new computer remember to turn off the read only attribute on the folder and all of its' contents. Although there are many ways to do this here is just one example.

Start Menu -> Run
type "command"
type the following at the C: or C:\windows prompt
"attrib -r C:\program files\HTC /S"

*don't include the quotes

If you forget this step then at some point in not distant future you'll be posting for help on why nothing that you change, convergence for instance, stays changed.
