I had an interesting experience yesterday...

I got home, checked the mail (without my glasses on of course) and took out what I could see was mine. Later in the evening when my wife got home she went through the same process. We make it a point not to open each other's mail...except this time.

I noticed she was a bit quiet throughout the rest of the evening, grandkids were around, we were watching a movie. We finally went to our bedroom to get ready to go to bed when she hands me this tri-folded card. On the back of it, pink background, white lettering, it said "Thank You". Inside was a background of a lovely brunnette and a message that read "Thank you for your information and you will find enclosed a $5 discount for your  next purchase".

Needless to say I did a lot of stammering trying to explain to her that I hadn't even been in one of their stores much less purchased anything there. She believed me, I think ...

Have any of you had a similar experience? I really don't know where they got my address but I can see if a marriage was on the verge of being on the rocks how this could be a disasterous occurance.

The Mrs. just yesterday got a Lane Bryant charge card in the mail with a letter stating "Here is the charge card that you requested".  She has never stepped foot in one of their stores nor did she request a card.

Maybe this is a new marketing ploy

Great stores to visit.  ;)

Send them a really nasty letter explaining that this "tactic" of theirs has caused you severe marital problems and that you are considering legal action if you do not receive a written apology address to your wife.

The Limited owns a bunch of different stores.  Maybe you shopped at one of them?  (I think they just sold off their Structure brand)

"Limited Brands, through Victoria's Secret, Express, Bath & Body Works, The Limited, The White Barn Candle Co., aura science and Henri Bendel, presently operate more than 4,000 stores."

She was mad because you bought lingerie and didn't give it to her.  When are you going to stop wearing women's panties? :p

I love their website. I bought like 8 different things for my wife's birthday once, from "bedtime" things to dresses and sweaters.
When she got it her reaction was "you want me to wear THAT ?"

Now she doesn't buy anything else other then VS :)

Rent and watch the movie....

"A Guy Thing"

The reviews were not good but I thought it was hilarious. Saw it on a plane a while back.

I had the same thing happen to me.  She believed me right up until she caught me wearing it.
