Turkey flexes its muscles this season as Sultan Crabofix methodically moves his forces to the inevitable showdown with France. Supported by his Russian and Italian allies, the Sultan adds Trieste and Venice to the Turkish empire.

The Austrian army, forcibly removed from Trieste, retreats to Budapest and instantly becomes a direct threat to the Turkish and Russian unprotected flanks. This Austrian army could potentially tie up 2 Turkish armies and one Russian army and one Russian fleet this next turn. It all depends on how lucky the Sultan and Tsar feel they are, and where, if anywhere, the Archduke plans on moving the Austrian army in the fall.

Get ready for a monster battle in the mediterranean and Italy next turn. France is loaded for bear and is ready to take on the combined forces of Italy and Turkey.

Meanwhile, in the north, Russia has wisely decided to retreat from Norway and recapture St. Petersburg. Russia's Baltic fleet continues to paralyze the Kaiser, as it threatens three supply centers. If the Kaiser intends to make any headway into Russia, that fleet must be defeated and forced to retreat.

Things do not look very promising for Italy, but the King has one advantage: a strong ally in Turkey. Don't count the Italians out yet. They still have a vital role to play in the near future.

Respectfully submitted,
