I've been playing around on Jumpgate... they have this in place to control profanity on their text buffers.

Seems to be an interesting approach. You get to decide what offends you.

I think it's a great idea.  Just have the default AH install set up with any HTC-defined offensive words entered into the filter file, and if you choose not to have them filtered, then you go into the file and take them out...or add more if you want.

Frankly, I'm a filth purist and hate to see the hacked excuses for foul language that are currently being used in the MA.  Let's get back to good old fashioned potty language!  :)
