Ok, I had this book as a kid. It was names something like
More WW2 warplanes or something.
It was a paperback, and it was blue, and had a mustang named Dingt Hao on the front, in a painting where the pilot saved a group of B17s and got the medal.
The whole book was paintings. One per page with a history of what the painting was about. It had great paintings. L
Like a ME110 taking out a long row of Yaks...
A Me163 fighting a crippled B17...
